Pink Pomeranian Charlie Wilson Votes for Yet Another Anti-Military Bill

Democrat Charlie Wilson (OH-6), and member of the Pink Pomeranian Coalition, voted yet again for another anti-military bill written by socialist Rep. David Obey (WI-7) and co-sponsored by fellow socialist Rep. John Murtha (PA-12).

“House Democrats pushed through a $50 billion bill for the Iraq war Wednesday night that would require President Bush to start bringing troops home in coming weeks with a goal of ending combat by December 2008.

“The legislation, passed 218-203, was largely a symbolic jab at Bush, who already has begun reducing force levels but opposes a congressionally mandated timetable on the war. And while the measure was unlikely to pass in the Senate -- let alone overcome a presidential veto -- Democrats said they wanted voters to know they weren't giving up.”

From Wilson’s office:

"Setting a date certain gives Iraqis the incentive to work on things for themselves and to meet some benchmarks," Wilson said.

Comment: This is completely asinine and another example of the stupidity and lack of judgment exhibited by Wilson and the Democrats in Congress at large. Why Wilson would vote for another one of these silly statements drafted by the socialists in Congress is beyond me. Wilson ran on a position of being “independent” and small “c” conservative. But as his public record demonstrates he has voted straight down the socialist line time and time again.

Let’s face the facts, our Armed Forces are doing what Congress asked, and are now wining the war. So with doing everything asked of them, why do the socialists continue to toy with their lives in blatant disregard? Because they care nothing about the lives of the young men and women, only for their continued appetite for power and greater control of our lives they are amassing in the federal government.

Wilson should be ashamed of himself. His voting record has demonstrated allegiance to the ideals of Nancy Pelosi and the socialists of George Soros’ MoveOn.Org, and not to the conservative and truly American men and women of the Ohio 6^th Congressional District.
